"Does she understand it?" "What is she doing?" "Where is she from?" "What does she hide from us?" -among the most common questions of the Wildred after Lady Night began reading the markings...
The Aftermath (Part II)
Lady Night's concentrated eyes were striking through the obelisk's markings as all her speculations came true one by one. There were three different texts carved in the redstone made relic. The first one held no author that she could find; it said: "Those bound in eternal purity and good will are those whom my blessings deserve, hence I submit to the prophecy wholeheartedly. From the smallest beast to the grandest god who crosses paths with them shall find it's love submitted to their young and pure spirits." And indeed these spirits that surrounded Lady Night was those who had died young and pure, unfound by the flaws of evil. It had shaken her to see so many, but seeing how well they fare made her keep on reading, while continuously being watched by the Wildred around her.
She could identify the one who wrote the second text. It was the one whom she was seeking, the mysterious magician. Unexpectedly the text read: "Oh, dear Lady Night, I was hoping you would come and find this relic. If you wish to find me, you must travel towards where Grimshire meets the Dead End, it is there you will be close to me, and it is there where someone will show you the way! Beware, great bearer of suffering, for me and you are not the only ones who know your soul is not complete! You need to be watchful, and never let death grip you with it's foul claws, and believe me when I say it can!" The wise wizard seemed ever more interesting, and Lady Night's unanswered questions grew in number.
To the great joy of Lady Night she could also guess who wrote the third and final text. It said "Welcome to the land which I favor, young princess! It has been such a long time since I've been blessed with a vision of you, black rose! Ask Sandön if he has a roof to cover your pretty head, he is right behind you, I shall be there." That language and words were used by nobody but one being. Lady Night joyfully read the markings of her good old friend, Lady Serene, which she hadn't seen in many millions of years. She was the magick that favored the particular life source that made Broadspirit as beautiful and warm as it was.
Lady Night finished reading the markings with a smile on her face, she looked back, and she saw a slim and tall Wildred. He had the appearance of an old and grumpy man, as if he had a lot to deal with.
-Are you Sandön? -asked Lady Night
-Aye! -responded the short worded man
-I... was wondering if you have any place for me to stay...
-Aye! C'mon! Tròmm, come 'n help me, mon!
-He's Tròmm, m'am. Me helpin' hand!
Lady Night went on the greet Tròmm with her sweet tone. He was very young and sweet, but he also looked like someone who could get a job done by the look of his ever concentrated eyes and mind to matter attitude. As they made their way through the village Tròmm, which seemed to like communicating more than his partener, kept describing what he and Sandön were doing in the village. Sandön was the Mastermind of All, he was in charge of keeping the village in order and avoid chaos and bad organization. He and Tròmm got close while on the Ghosthip, which they were also the masters of during their journey. While Trómm and Lady night were enjoying their dialogue Sandöm suddenly stopped in front of a very small house.
-Here's your home! -said Sandöm
-Thank you both for bringing me here, I won't stay long.
-Stay as much as you wish, Broadspirit loves visitors! In case you didn't know, milady, here found their home the people of three different Ghosthips. -said Tròmm
The two men left Lady Night alone and returned to their doings. There were still many people gathered around the obelisk, and many questioned the smile she had put on her face when she finished reading the markings. They thought this strange woman knew more than she told them and agreed to keep their eyes open, which was all they could do, as their pure spirits didn't allow their vigilance to turn into violence.
At the same time Lady Night was exploring the insides of her accommodation. The house had three rooms, a main room with a table, a smaller one with a bed and a mirror and an even smaller empty one. As she was looking about the room with the bed a woman came in. Her beauty matched the one of Lady Night, as her red hair filled the room with light. She seemed very happy and very healthy, her cheeks were far more colored than those of Lady Night as her lips were, too.
The two stared at each other for a few seconds, then both suddenly began screaming with joy. They run towards each other and hugged warmer than any human could. It was indeed the writer of the markings that granted Lady Night that smile on her face, Lady Serene.
-How have you fared in the Kingdom of Flesh, red rose? -asked Lady Night, with a voice almost as the one of a crying person.
-Oh, as you probably know, it's full of selfish empty landrotters, dear! But I have found interesting ones too, which I had the pleasure to also meet again here in your land, not in Broadspirit particularly, given that here only young spirits reside here apart from us. But the most interesting one was this one you are seeking!
-You know him?!
-Oh no, my dear black rose. I was looking for him, but he is most elusive. People hated him and haunted him, but never to any avail. At first I thought he only saw me as another simple person that hates him wrongly, but after witnessing what has he done here, I tend to think he knew more about me than I originally though. It seems he knows you as well, and quite a lot. I saw what he left for you on the obelisk.
-Can you point me towards Grimshire and Dead End?
-Oh of course! There's even more to it! I'll come with you!
-Are you speaking the truth?! I'm so glad! But what will happen to Broadspirit?
-Oh they will be fine without me, there's something about that obelisk. They will be fine if they stay close to it. The path you have ahead of you is dangerous, and you could surely use a friend, Black Rosie Rose. Hey, have they asked for your name? What have you told them?
-Oh, to tell the truth, they haven't.
-Lucky you! Humans, as you know, have names, and we are in human forms, hence we need names too, I chose one for me a long time ago. I'm Merriete, and I am pleased to meet you! What do you think about Annora, it is such a beautiful name.
-Oh, Annora is perfect. Shall we move then?
And so have the two ladies started searching for the mysterious and wise wizard...
