Lore, entry 6: The Inner Maelström

"My grandest weapon of destruction whose place of solace lies in Satan's Sea, behold the Inner Maelström! No damned Ghostship will cross the Narrow North while the Maelström breaks the balance of beings!" -Father Day, upon the creation of the Inner Maelström.
Ghostships swallowed by the Inner Maelström.
The Inner Maelström

Great was the fury of Father Day when death came with the ill news that it couldn't totally destroy the Ghostships.

And so he decided that if he was to do something well, he would have to do it himself. Being the master of Satan's Sea, he knew that he could manipulate his domain in any manner he wished.

So Father Day haunted and enslaved the sisters Black Magick and Destruction Magick so he could combine chaos and suffering and he blasted them trapped and concentrated into one single place in the Narrow North part of the sea. Both magicks died in an explosion of pain and returned to their Higher Presence, emanating the silent sounds of minions in their dying hour throughout the sea.

Draining a big part of the world's spirit, this magickal death damned the place and cursed it with chaos and pain. Endless storms were made anew in the saddened skies and the waters started to twist while lightning bolts crushed it's surface causing magickal explosion and the winds brought the dread of death and the whispers of the two magicks.

So the Ghostships that were making their way through Narrow North found their ending as the waters' motion was doomed to be their bane. All the remaining Ghostships marked the Maelström on their maps and the hazardous place was avoided from that day on.

There are, of course, captains that try to follow the path of the destroyed Ghostships, hoping they can pass through the mighty Maelström easily. And they are all wrong, as nothing but pain death resides in that place.
There was only one Ghostship that made it through the Narrow North, but it is said it's passengers were adepts in the art of magic and were able to make their vessel fly through the grim winds...
