Okay, I think it's about time to make things clearer about how Necromancer is going, given the fact that I haven't posted a lot of news in the last few months about it. So here we go...
Allright, basically, I've been preparing my debut album, called Somewhere Beyond Satan's Sea.

The past few months I've been focused a lot into production, with a little bit of writing in and there. Writing, which has been goin' on since like 2010.
At the beggining of this year's summer, I have recorded 3 songs, and produced Dead Melodies.
The three songs I recorded are: Necropolis, Spiritual Collapse and Black Metal Party. The problem with those recordings were that they were (in my opinion) very badly mixed/produced. While they sounded really good, they were very low in volume and lacked dynamics and depth, as you can listen on this sneak-peak of Black Metal Party or Spiritual Collapse, which I uploaded a while back. I've been basically busy this whole summer trying to fix it.
Now, at the end of my vacations, I have found the
answer to my questions. By experimenting a lot, I finally managed to put more than two guitar tracks into one song, which gave my recordings a whole new dimension. The 1st of these recordings is Unchain My Testing.
(In no way assuming that the song on that recording is mine, that is Unchain My Heart!!!, the 4th track on Gorgoroth's Incipit Satan, all credits go to Gorgoroth)
This ultimately, after a great deal of even further experimenting, led to this: the latest, and last version of Necropolis.
Now, let me talk a bit about Somewhere Beyond Satan's Sea. This upcoming album is basically the result of my fantasies, both music wise and story wise. While not a concept album, it's songs are bound toghether by this universe I have been creating and changing, and still am, over the past few years. Quite a lot of the posts I will make on this blog will be related to the lore of this universe, to it's places, characters, all-around story and whatnot.
And since I am someone who always experiments with stuff, it is only obvious, and safe, to call this album an Avant-Garde Metal one. Even though all the nine songs are bound by a unique "Necromancer feel" as goes with any Avant-Garde musical project, I always come up with new ways of making music on the run basically, those which convince me stay into this piece of work that I'm really proud of.
This is the tracklist up until now:
1) Dead Melodies
2) Forsaken
3) untitled
4) untitled
5) untitled
6) Necropolis
7) Spiritual Collapse
8) Black Metal Party
9) Endless Journey
All three untitled songs are still in writing process. None of the rest of the songs, even though they are written, are in end-of-session yet, the closest ones being Necropolis, Endless Journey and Dead Melodies.
Track 3 - Will have Doom and Progressive elements mixed with crazy sounds 'typical' only to an Avant-Garde Metal song.
Track 4 - Will be the album's ballad, and it will most likely only feature symphonic instruments, plus a woman's serene voice. I have a talented singer friend who will do that.
The rest of the songs you will hear more about when it's time.
Well, that's about it... ^^
